In your Zap, add an action step and type Checkilo. It shows up right in the app search, ready to drop in. Pick the action you need: Send an Event Ping for a single heartbeat, or Send a Workflow Ping to track Start, Checkpoint, and Finish across a multi-step run.

Connect and configure
The first time, connect your Checkilo account with your API key; Zapier verifies it automatically. Then pick your automation from the dropdown, loaded live from your account, and set the event. Add optional metadata rows. Create a key in your Checkilo dashboard after you sign up.
Run ID defaults to this Zap's run. For a multi-step run, reuse the same Run ID on Start, Checkpoint, and Finish, or map a business key like an Order ID, so the steps group together.
Only automations set to Require API key appear in the dropdown. Turn it on for the automation you want to watch.
Published on Zapier and awaiting review: add it from the invite link for now, and it moves to Zapier's app directory once approved. Either way, the universal HTTP or Webhooks step always works.

Does Zapier alert you when a Zap stops running?

How do I get notified when a Zap fails?
Add the Checkilo action to the Zap and it sends a heartbeat as each run passes through. When a run fails, times out, or never arrives, Checkilo alerts you in Slack, email, Discord, Telegram, LINE, Teams, or a webhook, and names the last checkpoint the run reached, so you know which step to open instead of digging through Zap history.
Do I need code to monitor Zapier?
